Agustin H. Serrano Sr.

Agustin Serrano Sr., of Yorktown was called home by his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, at the age of 95, on Tues. March 20, 2018 in Cuero, TX. He is now reunited with the love of his life Merce Castro Serrano, whom he was married to for 64 beautiful years. Agustin was born Jan. 13, 1923 in San Antonio, Texas to the late Agustin Serrano and Jesusa Hernandez. Throughout most of his life he owned Serrano trucking, which influenced his sons to follow in his footsteps and continue his legacy. He was a forever loving father, grandfather and great grandfather. Agustin enjoyed dancing and spending every minute with family, as well as drinking coffee with friends at the local Dairy Queen.

He is survived by his sons Manuel Serrano of Yorktown, Agustin Serrano Jr. of Yorktown, Danny (Dubelsa) Serrano of Victoria, Ruben (Katie) Serrano of Yorktown, Noe (Mary) Serrano of Houston, daughter Susan (Chavez) Silgero of Yorktown, 28 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his loving parents, wife Merce Castro Serrano and infant son.

Visitation 5-7 pm Friday March 23, 2018 with Rosary starting at 7 pm at Massey Funeral Home. Funeral Mass 1 pm Saturday March 24, 2018 at San Luis Catholic Church. Interment to follow at San Luis Catholic Cemetery.
