Jose Flores Guzman

Jose Flores Guzman, 66, of Yorktown, passed away Wednesday July 5, 2017.  He was born April 9, 1951 in Yorktown to the late Jesus and Eulalia Flores Guzman Sr. He served in the U S Navy from May 1968 to Feb. 1970. He was aboard the USS Saratoga. He loved talking about his military days with his family and friends. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife Maria Vela Guzman, daughters Misty (Daniel) Howard and Renee (Steven) Ramirez, sons Joe (Leslie) Guzman Jr and Jacob (Crystal) Guzman, sisters Nancy Ortiz and Mary Bittner and grandchildren Mark Gutierrez, Aaron Ramirez, Toni Ramirez, Kevin Hernandez, Kiley Guzman, Kaley Guzman, Jacob Guzman Jr., Emanuel James Guzman and Luke Paul Guzman.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Hortencia Medina, Yolanda Marquez and Lydia Windoskey, brothers Juan Guzman, Lupe Guzman and Jessie Guzman Jr.

Rosary 9:30 am Tuesday July 18, 2017 at San Luis Catholic Church. Funeral Mass 10 am Tuesday July 18, 2017 at San Luis Catholic. Interment to follow at San Luis Catholic Cemetery.
