Lillie Marie (Seifert) Urban

Lillie Marie Seifert Urban passed away on July 17, 2015, at the age of 94.  She was born July 15, 1921 in Old Davy, just west of Yorktown, Texas to Edward and Hulda Buske Seifert. Lillie married William Gus Urban on December 24, 1945, and they celebrated 69 years together.

Lillie grew up on the family farm in Davy, working the land alongside her parents and siblings. She attended rural school in Davy and told humorous stories of rides to school with all four children on one horse. She learned many lifelong skills on the farm and was a professional seamstress and gifted gardener. In later years, she converted her greenhouse to a workshop and built elaborate birdhouses.

Lillie is survived by her husband William Urban, son James William and wife Joan Urban of Yorktown, Texas, sister-in-law Delores Seifert of Victoria, Texas and two grandsons, Justin and wife Lindsey of San Antonio, Texas and Jarrett and husband Dr. Terrance Hines of Austin, Texas. She is survived by five great grandchildren: Ashlyn, Hannah, Hudson, Holden, and Lily Urban.

She is preceded in death by parents, sister Viola Seifert Bartram and brothers Roland Seifert and Edward “Bob” Seifert.

Pallbearers will be Justin Urban, Jarrett Urban, Terrance Hines, Kevin Seifert, Allen Machost, and Jerry Urban.

Visitation will be 5-7pm Sunday, July 19, 2015 Massey Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be 10 am Monday July 20, 2015 at Massey Funeral Home.  Interment will follow at Westside Cemetery.
