Roy August Goehring

Roy "Little Roy" August Goehring, 77, of Yorktown, was called to the Lord on July 4, 2016. He was born on January 16, 1939 in Beeville, Texas, to the late Alfred and Lillian Landgrebe Goehring. He loved to cruise in his red Jeep, watch western movies, his dog Buddy and eating at Edgar and Gladys' Cafe. He proudly served in the US Army 1st Armored Division 16th Engineer Battalion. He retired from TXDOT after many years of service. He was a member of St. Andrew's Lutheran Church. Roy is survived by his wife, Gaynell Goehring, his three siblings and their spouses, Daniel (Junnell) Goehring, Willie (Alma Jean) Goehring, Gladys (Gaylan) Franke, many loving nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. A graveside burial was held on Tuesday, July 5, 2016. A memorial service will be held on Sunday July 10, 2016 at St. Andrew's Lutheran Church at 3 p.m. In lieu of flowers, feel free to contribute to the charity of your choice.
