Carol A. (Griffin) Schroller

Carol Adele Griffin Schroller, 92, of Yorktown passed away Wednesday, February 21, 2024. She was born January 27, 1932, in Texas City, Texas, to the late LeeRoy Griffin, Sr. and Meta Hengst Griffin.

Carol graduated from Yorktown High School in 1949 and that same year married Felton L. Schroller. Prior to her marriage, she worked for her parents at Griffin’s Tiny Market in Yorktown. During her working years she worked at First National Bank of Yorktown, Southwestern Bell Telephone of Yorktown, and Yorktown Community Bank which later became First National Bank of Beeville. While there she was appointed Vice President and Cashier. She retired in 2000 and in 2012 relocated to Victoria.

Carol is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Felton and her brother LeeRoy Griffin Jr.

She is survived by two sons, Dennis Schroller and wife Rayba of Victoria, Jay Schroller and wife Peggy of Houston. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Kelley Schroller Toney, and husband Ryan of Austin, Wesley Schroller of Houston, Curtis Schroller and wife, Amber of Houston and great grandchildren, Vivian, Vonn and Rosemarie Toney, and Lily Grace Schroller.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, March 16, 2024 with visitation at 10:30 am at St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery Pavilion and services at 11:00 am at St. Paul Lutheran Church Cemetery in Yorktown. A reception will follow at St. Paul Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall.

The family would like to thank Dr. Khiem Vu and staff, along with the staff at Citizens Medical Center for the excellent care she received. We would also like to thank the staff at Morada Assisted Living for the care she received while living there.
