Walter Paul Koricanek Sr.

Walter Paul Koricanek Sr, 82, of Nordheim passed away Sunday, March 24, 2024. He was born May 22, 1941 in Flatonia, Texas to Charles William and Lena Syrinek Koricanek. He married the love of his life Betty June Hillje on July 10, 1961 in Cotulla, Texas. Walter had a passion for the oilfield where he served the industry for sixty years.

Walter is survived by his wife Betty Koricanek, son Bobby Koricanek, grandson's Wyatt Koricanek, Tanner Koricanek, William Koricanek, granddaughter Leslie (Jacoby) Frisby, daughter in law Julie Koricanek and great grandson Hudson Koricanek. He is also survived by sisters Allene (Jerry) Phillipus, Millie Owens and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

He is preceded in death by his parents, son Walter Koricanek Jr, sisters Rosie Hunter, Viola Holt, Elsie Catching, brothers Frank Koricanek, Louis Koricanek, Freddie Koricanek, Jim Koricanek, George Koricanek and Emil Koricanek.

Visitation will be 10-11 am Friday, March 29, 2024 with funeral service beginning at 11 am at Massey Funeral Home. There will be a private burial.

Pallbearers will be William Koricanek, Wyatt Koricanek, Tanner Koricanek, Ricky Hillje, Billy Swan, B J Drehr, Darrell Spell and Steven Markgraf.

Memorials may be given to donor's choice.
