Agnes Dlugosch, 92, of Victoria passed away Monday Feb. 26, 2018. She was born March 9, 1925 in Dewitt County, Texas to the late Anton Sr. and Anne Styra Tam. She was a wonderful homemaker, famous for her angel food cakes and a great seamstress and sewed all her children’s clothes. She was always a hardworking woman on the farm and had various jobs in the community which included hospital patient sitter, librarian aide, school bus driver and hospitality hostess at Fairfield Inn.
Agnes is survived by her daughters Alice Poage, Kristine (David) Rush, son Ted (Vernell) Dlugosch and son-in-law Mickey Sullivan. She is also survived by grandchildren Stacey (Brian) Agnew, Jack (Kindra) Poage, Charles (Janel) Poage, Michael Sullivan, Mary (Doug) Borden, Jason (Christine) Dlugosch, Angela (Jarred) Karnei, Kimberly (Daniel) Davis, Jennifer Whited and great grandchildren Braden Agnew, Alexa Agnew, Eleanor Poage, Wyatt Borden, Cora Borden, Andrew Dlugosch, Austin Dlugosch, Allison Dlugosch, Colby Karnei, Chloe Karnei, Madeline Karnei, Nicholas Davis, Ella Davis, Ashton Whited and Drew Whited.
Agnes is preceded in death by her parents, husband James Dlugosch Sr., son James Dlugosch Jr., daughter Carol Sullivan, sister Lillian Warzecha, brother Anton "Tony" Tam, son-in-law Steve Poage and daughter-in-law Nellene Dlugosch.
Visitation will be 5-7 pm Thurs. March 1, 2018 with a rosary at 7 pm at Massey Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be at 11 am Friday March 2, 2018 at Holy Cross Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jason Dlugosch, Jarred Karnei, Michael Sullivan, Jack Poage, Charles Poage and Daniel Davis.
Memorials may be given to Holy Cross Catholic Church, Alzheimer's Association or donor's choice.
