George William “Bill” Robinson, 74, of Yorktown, passed away Wednesday, March 7, 2018.
He was born March 19, 1943, in Meadville, PA, to Bernice Waid Williams and the late George F. Robinson. He was a retired USAF MSGT and a Vietnam veteran. Bill owned a service station in Yorktown for many years, volunteered with the Yorktown EMS since its inception in 1989, and served as Justice of Peace PCT 2 in DeWitt County since 1994. He was an active member of Post 8136 VFW, Vietnam’s Veteran’s Association, and the American Legion. He was also an active member of Open Bible Baptist Church.
Bill is survived by his mother Bernice Williams, wife Rachel Robinson, son Daniel Robinson and wife Jacquelyn Robinson, daughter Karen Robinson and husband Richard Cole, and brother John Paul Robinson. He is also survived by his grandsons Kaleb Ryan Cole and William Andrew Robinson.
He was preceded in death by his father George Frederick Robinson; brothers Fred, Ralph, Timothy, James, Richard and Frank; and sisters Ruth Hartzell and Barbara Potts.
There will be a Celebration of Life luncheon for Bill on Sunday, March 11, 2018 at 12:30 pm at Yorktown Community Hall.
Visitation will be 5-7 pm Sunday, March 11, 2018, at Massey Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be 10 am Monday, March 12, 2018, at Massey Funeral Home.
Graveside services will be 2 pm Monday, March 12, 2018, at Coastal Bend State Veteran Cemetery in Corpus Christi with full military honors.
Pallbearers will be John Green, Frank Blair, Bobby Strieber, Bobby Hranicky, John Oliver, and Bill Menn.
Memorials can be given to Yorktown E.M.S., Open Bible Baptist Church, or donor’s choice.
