Leroy Edward Summers

Leroy Edward Summers, 60, of Weesatche passed away Mar. 29, 2019. He was born Jan. 3, 1959 in Winner, SD to the late Earl and Naomi Summers. He was a truck driver for over 30 years. He worked for Dysart Trucking in Sioux Falls, SD for 16 years. He moved to Texas in 2011 and contracted out to JJ Hunter where he worked as a mechanic for the company. He was loved by many and his favorite place was the Corner Café where he met with his friends in the evening.

Leroy is survived by wife Glory Willeford of Weesatche, son Dustin (Kristi) Summers of Sioux Falls, SD, daughter Ashley Summers of Sious Falls, DS, step-daughter Jennifer (Thomas) Anklam of Weesatche, step-son Jeff (Nancy) Willeford of San Antonio. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and brothers Christopher (Lisa) Summers of Omha, NE, Jim Summers of Whitewood, SD, Bill (Paula) Summers of Whitewood, SD, sister Linda Anderson of Wichita, KS, lots of nieces and nephews and his beloved dog and companion “Cooper”.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial service will be Sat. April 13, 2019 at 2 pm at the Weesatche Community Hall. There will be a family memorial service in Nebraska on June 8, 2019.
