Mary Agnes (Tucker) Edwards

Mary Agnes Edwards, 86, of Yorktown, passed away at home on August 20, 2017.  Mary was born January 6, 1931 to the late William and Rebecca Tucker in Benjamin, Texas.  She married William “Buddy” Edwards January 6, 1946.

Mary was a woman of many talents.  She was a prize winning quilt maker, a fantastic cook and florist.  She was an entrepreneur, owning several businesses including a dress shop, flower shop and antique store. She loved to collect antiques, loved to bake and sew.  She was an inspiration to the family and all of their friends.

She is survived by her son Eddie Edwards, Daughters Sherry (Wayne) Chambliss, and Peggie (Larry) Slade, Grandchildren Mark SoRelle, Craig Jones, Leslie Preslar, Rotan Edwards, Allison Shirk, Melanie Edwards, Jason Russell, Liane Dierker, Nick Russell, and 26 great-grandchildren,  she is also survived by her brothers Henry Tucker and A.B. Tucker and sister Lanelle White.

Mary is preceded in death by her husband William “Buddy” Edwards, daughter Gloria Edwards, son Bobby Edwards, Grandson Kris Edwards.  She is also preceded in death by her brothers Bill Tucker and John Tucker, and sisters Mildred Norrell, Bettie Angeley and Bernice Miller.

Funeral services will be 10 am Wednesday August 23, 2017 at Massey Funeral Home.  Private family burial will follow.
