Ofelia Corpus

Ofelia V. Corpus, 91, of Yorktown, passed away Nov. 23, 2017.  She was born May 30, 1926 to the late Maximiliano and Juanita Vela Corpus.  She was a homemaker and enjoyed visiting with family. She enjoyed gardening and could grow just about anything.  She was also passionate about quilt making, and loved to sew and make beautiful quilts.

  Ofelia was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Refugio Reyes, her sisters Merce Valdez, Chonita Villarreal, Augustina Villarreal, her brother in law Nicolas Villarreal Sr. and nephew Nicolas Villarreal Jr, great nephew and nieces Marcus Puente, Haley Banda and Cindy Sanford.

She is survived by her nieces Irene Boerm, Gloria (Edward) Sanford, Lucy Riedesel, Amber (Daniel) Rios,  her nephews Henry (Rosa) Villarreal, Daniel (Mary Helen) Villarreal, Fred (Gloria) Villarreal and Robert (Cindy) Villarreal all of Yorktown and numerous great nieces and nephews.

Viewing will be 3-5 pm Sunday Nov. 26 at Massey Funeral Home. Visitation will be 5-7 pm Monday Nov. 27 at Massey Funeral Home with rosary at 7 pm.  Funeral Mass will be 10 am Tuesday Nov. 28 at San Luis Catholic Church.  Interment will follow at Yorktown Community Cemetery.
