Alice Deason Obituary

Alice Louise Lingo Deason went home to be with our Lord and Savior on Sunday, February 20, 2022 at the age of 76.

Alice was born in Waco, TX on September 9, 1945 to the late Raymond and Elna Hennig Lingo. She graduated from Aldine High School in 1964, continued her passion in cosmetology and worked as a beautician for a short time before starting a family.

She met her husband Donald Ray Deason in the Fall of 1963 and they married on December 12, 1964. They went on to have 3 children Donald Ray Jr (Bubba), Daniel (Danny) and Nicole (Nickie) and adopted a grandson Daniel whom she raised as her own. After she and Don started their life together in Houston, TX they settled in Yorktown, TX in 1976 with the kids, to be close to her parents and start life in the country.

All who knew her, loved her. Her love of Jesus was felt through her warm hugs. She never met a stranger and made others feel so welcomed as if they had known each other forever. Known affectionately as "Granny" to her grandkids and a treasured friend to a few special people in her life. Her love of family, cooking, gardening, and sewing was shared with many. To have Alice whip up a meal was nothing short of a delicious main event and enjoyed by many throughout her life. If you needed something done, she would always step in to lead the way and make sure it was done right.

Alice is preceded in death by her father, Raymond Lingo, mother Elna Hennig Lingo, sister Joyce Lingo and son Danny Deason.

She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years Don Deason, son Bubba (Laura) Deason of Orlando, FL, daughter Nickie (Mitch) Martin of Yorktown, TX and son Daniel Deason of Nevada. Grandchildren Kailey and Madalyn Deason, Dylan (Lauren), Halle, Cade, Avery Martin and great grandson Tate Martin. Brother Ray (Anita) Lingo of Tomball, TX and Janet (James) Deason of Yorktown, TX and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends whom she loved and will be missed by.
