Barbara Ann (Ender) Chandler

Barbara Ann Ender Chandler, 85, of Yorktown, Texas passed away Tuesday, September 19, 2023. She was born to Eddie and Olga Kubala Ender on September 21, 1937 in DeWitt County. She married Bill Chandler April 14, 1956. They went on to settle in Houston and started their family. In 1980 they decided to make the jump from big city to a small town and moved to Cuero, Texas. Finally, they retired to Barbara's hometown of Yorktown. Retirement didn't last long before they decided to open the Junction Café.

Barbara is preceded in death by her husband and parents, son Jeff Chandler, brother Eddie Ender, brothers-in-law's Ted Mazurkiewicz, Clyde Messer, Paul Smith, James Chandler, Raymond Bressler, sister-in-law's Glady's Bressler, Ann Chandler, Sharon Ender and Kelly Ender, grandsons Michael Chandler and Jeffrey Chandler.

She is survived by children Diana Knight, Cheryl (Ricky) Ortiz, Robin Chandler and Keith Chandler. Sister Edra "Sandy" Mazurkiewicz, brother Michael Ender, and sister-in-law Helen Messer, 10 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews and her adopted grandchildren.

Pallbearers Billy Chandler, Christopher Chandler, Gary Self Jr, Jamie Chandler, Andrew Knight and Wesley Mazurkiewicz.

Visitation will be 2-3 pm Saturday, September 23, 2023 at Massey Funeral Home. Graveside service 3:30 pm Saturday, September 23, 2023 at Westside Cemetery.

Memorials may be given to First Baptist Church or donor's choice.
