Belinda Faye Cassel, 54, of Rockport, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, April 15, 2026. She was born on July 7, 1971, in Taft, Texas.
A proud Port Aransas native, Belinda had a deep love for fishing, the beach, music, and sunny days. The island was part of who she was. Known as #11 on the court, she was a respected and talented athlete for the Port Aransas Marlins—something she carried with pride and always cherished.
Belinda was a vibrant light in any room, with a warm, loving heart and a captivating laugh and smile. She had a natural way of bringing people together and making everyone feel welcome. Above all, she loved her children and grandchildren deeply—they were the center of her world and her greatest joy.
She is survived by her mother, Cynthia Trott; her children, Taylor (Dylan) Covarrubias, Logan (Maia) Romans, Jett Landry, and Easton Barnard; her siblings, Marc (Crystal) Cassel, Lisa (Jeff) Cheney, William (Carol) Ulch, Eric (Geneva) Ulch, Kathy (Bubba) Reyna, and Robert Alan Cassel; five grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Shannon Ulch.
Graveside services will be 10 am Tuesday April 21, 2026 at Nordheim Cemetery.
