Christopher Lee Metting

Christopher “Lee” Metting, age 47, passed away peacefully on Saturday February 16, 2019 and has joined his grandparents, Werner and Elfrieda Metting in Heaven. Lee was born December 6, 1971 in Gonzales, TX where he also graduated from Yorktown High School. He married Rachel Mendez-Metting on April 28, 2001.

He is survived by his wife Rachel, his two sons, Garrett and Nicolas, his mother, Sherry Kay Metting, and his father, Daniel Salazar. He is also survived by his in-laws, Frank and Eldora Mendez, his two sister-in-laws, Patricia Ballin and Deborah Mendez, his brother-in-law, Joseph Ballin, his two nephews, Jonathon and Jacob Ballin, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Family, friends, and others, whose lives Lee has touched, are invited to attend his Celebration of Life service this Friday, February 22, 2019 at 11:00 am at St. Paul Lutheran Church located at 222 N. Gohmert St., Yorktown, TX 78164 with a refreshment reception following at St. Paul Lutheran Fellowship Hall.
