Dorothy Fay Lude

Dorothy Fay Lude, 86, of Goliad passed away Monday, August 26, 2024. She was born September 14, 1937 in Weesatche, TX to Willie C. and Louise Els Lude. Dorothy enjoyed gardening and working in her yard. She was also a cattle rancher who loved her cows, sheep and goats.

She is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, great-great nieces, great-great nephews, one great-great-great nephew and sister-in-law Idell Lude.

She is preceded in death by her parents, siblings Edwin (Maurine) Lude, Elfie (Roman) Baacke, Elsie (Hayden) Baacke, Rosie (Oscar) Karnei, David Lude, Nettie (Rogell) Schulze, Bettie May Lude, nephew Jeffery Lude and long time companion Joseph (Joe) Hurta Jr.

Funeral service 6 pm Friday, August 30, 2024 at St. Andrew’s Lutheran Church in Weesatche with Kevin Karnei officiating. Interment to follow at St. Andrew’s Lutheran cemetery.

Pallbearers will be nieces and nephews.

Memorials can be made to St. Andrew’s Lutheran Church or Crown Hospice.
