Eric Nicholas Mendez

Eric Mendez, 32, of Yorktown passed away June 30, 2018. He was born in Cuero to Rose Ann Vela and the late Daniel Mendez. Eric was a very hard worker and loved being around family and friends. Everyone that knew him would say he was friendly, lovable and would always greet you with a hug.

He is survived by his mother Rose Ann Vela, friend Mauricio Alonso, brothers Christopher and Brandon Rios and sisters Amanda Moss and Jasmine Rios and step-father Ronnie Rios. He is also survived by his nephew Cash, niece Paris and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

He is preceded in death by his father, maternal grandparents Henry and Tomasita Vela and paternal grandparents Santiago and Camelia Mendez.

Pallbearers will be Christopher Rios, Brandon Rios, Dean Matthews, James Campbell, Abraham Castillo and Agustin Rios.

Memorials may be given to Hospice of South Texas or donor’s choice.

Visitation 5-7 pm with Rosary at 7 pm Friday July 6, 2018 at Massey Funeral Home. Graveside service at 10 am Saturday July 7, 2018 at Yorktown Community Cemetery.
