Estella Villa

Estella Villa, 73, of San Antonio, formerly of Yorktown passed away Wed. Aug. 2, 2023. She was born in Cuero on Nov. 16, 1949 to the late Antonio and Tomasita Sepeda Villa. She was a faithful Catholic who was active in the church especially in the San Antonio diocese. She was recognized by the Archdiocese of San Antonio with Lumen Gentium award. This is bestowed upon Catholic laypeople who have demonstrated participation in the Catholic Church's mission to bring Christ's light to all.

She is survived by her sisters Ramona Yanes of Yorktown, Mariann Santos of San Antonio, Sylvia (Fernando) Medina of Stafford, VA, brother Robert (Minnie) Villa of Victoria, sister-in-law Frances Villa and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Raymond, Mike, Joe, Johnny, Rudy and Leo Villa infant sister Rosita Villa and sisters Rebecca Ovalle and Amada Villa.

Pallbearers are Patti Yanes, Jay Santos, David Villa, Michael Villa, Brandon Villa and Sylvia and Fernando Medina. Honorary pallbearers are nieces and nephews.

Rosary at 10:30 am with Funeral Mass beginning at 11 am Saturday, August 5, 2023 at Holy Cross Catholic Church. Interment to follow at Westside Cemetery.

Memorials may be given to Catholic Church of donor's choice, American Kidney Fund, American Diabetes Association and donor's choice.
