Frances Mae (Pye) Harris

Frances Pye Wofford Harris 97, of Cuero, entered into eternal rest Friday, March 15, 2019. She was born on May 2, 1921 in Lafayette, LA to the late Jesse Joseph Pye and Enola LeBlanc Pye.

Nannie loved cooking and working in her yard. She especially loved being with her family and loving on them. Never one to miss a good time, she was always ready for a party even better if it included dancing. A little “Fais do-do”, a Cajun dance party was a happy time. She cherished her Cajun heritage. Her deep commitment to her Catholic faith sustained her throughout her life.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, James H Wofford (Jim) and second husband Stanley T Harris, sisters:  Hazel McGill, Verna Willis and brother J J Pye.

Survivors include, daughter Carol Wofford Ellis (Mike) of Yorktown, son Jim Wofford (Donna) of Kemp. Grandsons: Greg Ellis of Cuero, Kyle Ellis (Connie) of Mont Belvieu, Mark Wofford (Cindy) of Orange Grove, Troy Wofford (Victoria) of Corsicana. Great-granddaughters, Madelyn Ellis, Hannah Ellis, Sydney Wofford, Cassie Wofford and her very treasured nieces and nephews.
