Francisca "Francis" (Torres) Alvarez

Francisca "Francis" Torres Alvarez born on October 12, 1932 passed away on October 12, 2023, on her 91st birthday. She was born in Yorktown, Texas to Ascension Torres and Claudina Rodriguez Torres. She married Toribio Alvarez in Yorktown on April 12, 1953. They had been married 46 years at the time of his death.

She is survived by daughters, Diana Gonzales, and Claudina (Danny) Alvarez of Yorktown, sons, Ascension "Chon" (Mackey) Alvarez of George West, Texas Israel Alvarez of Lockhart, Texas and daughter-in-law Gloria Alvarez of Yorktown, 17 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Toribio Alvarez, son Ramon Alvarez, son-in-law Pedro Gonzales Jr, sisters Juana Gonzales and Manuela Torres, brothers Jose Rodriguez, Pedro Conde, Tiburcio Garza, Pablo, Guadalupe, Ascension, Jacinto and Domingo Torres.

Visitation 12-2 pm Sunday, October 15, 2023 at Massey Funeral Home with Funeral service beginning at 2 pm. Interment to follow at San Luis Catholic Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Dylan, Waylon and Darrin Gonzales, Joshua and Toribio Lopez and Kevin and Brandon Morehead. Honorary pallbearers Shane Sellers, Isiah Cuevas, Jo Ray, Richard, Jobe and Jude Alvarez, Julian Ramos, Zaid Gonzales, Callen Camacho, Carsen and Cowen Schorlemer.
