John Anthony Flores

John Anthony Flores, 32, of Yorktown, formerly of Floresville passed away Thursday June 13, 2019.  He was born May 9, 1987 in Seguin, TX to Johnny and Mary Flores.  He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, was an active member of the Catholic Faith.  He love music, basketball, football and especially the Dallas Cowboys. John loved his job and the people he worked with at Engineered Well Service in Karnes City.

He is survived by his daughters Zaylee and Paisley Flores, parents Johnny and Mary Gutierrez Flores, sister, Valerie Flores, brother and sister in law Justin and Evette Flores, niece Alexandra Arevalo.  He is also survived by his grandmother Amelia Gutierrez, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. His aunt and uncle, Martha (Joe) Garcia took him in, as their own.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents Jesus Gutierrez, Justo and Geronima Flores.

Visitation will be 5-7 pm Tuesday June 18, 2019 at Massey Funeral Home with a rosary starting at 7 pm.  Funeral Mass will be 10 am Wednesday June 19, 2019 at Holy Cross Catholic Church.  Interment will follow at San Luis Catholic Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Freddy Flores, Cleo Flores, Mario Jimenez, Mark Vela, Craig Furtick, John Powell, Alan Gross, Pedro Gonzales, Larry San Miguel and Randall Gutierrez.
