Lana Krietsch, 84, of Yorktown, passed away on Sunday, July 26, 2026. She was born on March 16, 1942, in DeWitt County to Clarence and Emma Mutschler Ideus.
Lana found great joy in reading, knitting, crocheting, and weaving. Through her creativity and loving hands, she made many beautiful gifts that will be cherished by her family and friends for generations to come. Above all, Lana was devoted to her faith and made certain that Christ remained at the center of her home.
Left to cherish her memory are her children Kathryn (Thomas Kraege) Gloor, James Krietsch, Aunt Patsy Green, grandchildren: Forrest (Ashlea) Barker, Chris (Lesley) Mann, Tamara (Seth) Mattox, great-grandchildren Willow, Camryn, McKenna, Jesse, and Audie.
She is preceded in death by her parents and husband Jesse James Krietsch.
Memorials may be given to St. Paul Lutheran Church or donor’s choice.
Visitation will be 12:00 pm on Sunday, August 2, 2026 at St. Paul Lutheran Church. Funeral Service will follow at 1:00 pm. Interment will be at Runge City Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jeff Ideus, Corey Brysch, Chester Mah, Ryan Mah, Carsten Alsguth and Jon Potcinske.
