Leonard Oliver

Leonard Oliver, 91, of Yorktown passed away Saturday, May 18, 2024. He was born August 9, 1932 in Dewitt County to Ervin and Maybelle Langum Oliver. He lived in Nordheim then moved to Yorktown and worked on several farms for many farmers and ranchers. He was a longtime member of Rising Star Baptist Church in Yorktown. He enjoyed going to church services whenever his health permitted.

He is survived by his brother Alton Oliver and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his parents, grandmother Sally Lott Langum, sisters Julia Mae Oliver, Stella McGarity, Effie Cummings; brothers Willie Williams, Alvin Langum and Paul Langum.

Graveside service 10 am Tuesday, May 28, 2024 in Nordheim Cemetery with Rev. Trey Tristan officiating.
