Mary Ann (Frels) Flessner

Mary Ann Flessner, 75, of Cuero, TX passed away at home on Friday, July 30, 2021. She was born in Cuero on February 15, 1946 to the late Gerhard and Gerda Koehler Frels. She married the love of her life Gary Flessner on February 19, 1966 in Cuero at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church. Mary Ann was a member of First Baptist Church of Yorktown, a life member of Cuero Regional Hospital Volunteers, a Chaplin for Cuero Regional Hospital for several years, a member of Cuero VFW Auxiliary, and also volunteered at Cuero ISD. 

She is survived by her husband Gary Flessner, daughters Cheryl (James) Kenefick of Georgetown, Brenda (Craig) Cooper of Cuero, grandchildren Elizabeth Kenefick, Faith, Joshua, Andrew Cooper and step granddaughter Wendy Popps. She is also survived by her sister Alene Haynie of Seadrift, TX.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

Pallbearers will be William Henry Flessner, Jason Flessner, Eric Flessner, Henry Creators, Justin Aguilar, and Greg Cartwright. Honorary pallbearers are Mathew Booth, Arthur Harris, Ehren Creators, Brandon Creators, James Kenefick, and Craig Cooper.

Visitation will be 4-6 pm Sunday, August 8, 2021 at Massey Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be held at 10 am Monday August 9, 2021 at Massey Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Memory Gardens in Cuero, TX. Reverend Mark Collins will be officiating.

Memorials may be given to Gideons Bible.
