Mattie Blair Obituary
Mattie Pearl Blair, 93, of Yorktown, TX passed away Friday January 21, 2022. She was born November 18, 1928 in Kinston, North Carolina to the late John H and Lillie Bell Spence Croom. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Yorktown.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Eldon Blair Sr. step-mother Elizabeth Moore Croom, brothers Finnie Croom, James Croom and David Croom. Sisters; Ruby Croom Hill and baby Blue Bell Croom.
She is survived by her children Eldon Blair Jr, Frank Blair, Charles Blair and Patricia Blair Real. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren; a step granddaughter; many great grandchildren, and at least one great-great grandchild.
She had many dear friends from the Oceanside and Vista California area where she lived for most of her adult life, many years before coming to Texas. In Texas she made friends at the First Baptist Church in Yorktown, and at the Yoakum Nursing and Rehab Center and the Yorktown Nursing and Rehab Center.
