Michael Ray Pattillo

Michael Ray Pattillo, 65, of Yorktown passed away peacefully in his home Monday, September 26, 2022 after a decade long battle with cancer. He was born February 26, 1957 at Fort Sam Houston to Oleta Wehmeyer Pattillo and the late Myles Pattillo. He graduated from Yorktown High School in 1975 and joined the United States Army. After serving three years, he was honorably discharged as sergeant. From there, Michael worked various jobs in the oilfield, construction, communications, and sales all over Texas, Arkansas, and Indiana. He married the love of his live, Kathy Goodson, and they eventually settled down in Corpus Christi, Texas. They were together for 34 years and he cared for her tirelessly until her passing in May of 2021. He retired from Sheinberg Tools in September 2021, which he considered the "best place I've worked at, ever" and moved back to his childhood home in Yorktown, TX.

He is survived by his mother Oleta Pattillo, his daughter Veronica Welch, grandson Dylan Welch, nieces and nephews Kelly (Larry) Gonzales, Michael (Kimberly) Afflerbach, Lindsay (Bobby) West and numerous great-nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Kathy, his father Myles, and his sister Belinda Kay.

Visitation 3-4 pm Sunday, October 2, 2022 with Funeral Service beginning at 4 pm at Massey Funeral Home.
