Santos "Joe" Banda Jr.

Santos “Joe” Banda Jr., 58, of Victoria passed away Thurs. Aug. 13, 2020. He was born June 23, 1962 in Yorktown to the late Santos Sr. and Minerva Moreno Banda. Joe’s grandchildren were the light of his life, whether it was taking them fishing, going to Dairy Queen for ice cream, cheering them on at their games, teaching them to mow grass, giving them weekly snack bags, or just stopping by to say hi, he was always around and happy to see them. He dedicated many hours to Yorktown EMS. He loved helping people and would give anybody whatever they needed. If you went to his house, you never left empty handed because he loved giving. He was a great man who will be truly missed.

He is survived by his children Pam Torres and Joe Anthony Banda both of Victoria. He is also survived by his grandchildren Michael Rodriguez, Jayden Rodriguez, Rashawn Steward, Kaison Rodriguez, brothers; John Banda, Roy Banda, sisters; Nora Rosalas and Mary (John) Moore.

He is preceded in death by his parents and sister Linda Banda.

Visitation 9-10 am Thursday August 20, 2020 at Massey Funeral Home with Graveside service following at 10:00 am at Westside Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Joe Anthony Banda, Michael Rodriguez, Mario Garcia, Ryan Banda, Brian Villarreal and Eric Villarreal. Honorary pallbearers will be Jayden Rodriguez, Rashawn Steward and Kaison Rodriguez.

Memorials may be given to Yorktown EMS or donor’s choice.
