Sheldon Kenne

Sheldon Eugene Kenne, 71, of Yorktown passed away Sunday, December 1, 2024. He was born June 1, 1953 in Nordheim to Clifton and Aileen Bohach Kenne. He married the love of his life Mary Ann Bomba on July 14, 1974. They recently celebrated their 50th anniversary surrounded by family.  He served in the United States Airforce. He later retired from Dupont after over 30 years.  He was happiest when he was surrounded by his wife, his boys and their families.  He would sit on the back porch for hours to spend time with his family or to watch the cow parade every day when they would move from one patch to another.  He took pride in having a beautifully mowed lawn. 

He is survived by his wife of 50 years Mary Ann Kenne, children Clayton (Christina) Kenne, Dustin (Kerry) Kenne and Barton (Taylor) Kenne. He is also survived by his grandchildren Lara Thamm, Alli Lott, Travis (Natalie) Thamm, Logan Kenne, Whitlee Kenne, Hunter Kenne, Harper Kenne, and great grand-daughter Elainnore Thamm.  As well as his brother Stephen (Janie) Kenne, nieces Kaci Howell and Kelli Dougharty. 

He is preceded in death by his parents and grandparents. 

In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to Yorktown Chamber of Commerce for the purchase of a digital marquee.
