Tammy Schmiedlin Obituary

Tammy J. Koenig Schmiedlin of Missouri City, Texas, formerly of Weesatche, Goliad County entered this world on Tuesday, January 29, 1963 in Yorktown, Texas, born to Harold M. Koenig “Shine” and Mary Lou Landgrebe Koenig, she went to be with our Lord Jesus Christ this past Thursday, March 12, 2026 at the young age of 63.

Tammy was baptized and later affirmed her baptism and confessed Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at St. Andrew’s Lutheran Church of Weesatche. She attended and graduated from Goliad High School in 1981.

Tammy was a talented artist and pursued those talents by beginning a career as a commercial artist. She married Jerry Schmiedlin and settled in Missouri City, Texas where she extended her career into bookkeeping and managing the family business.

Tammy gave birth to a beautiful girl, Denaee who was raised alongside Jerry’s previous twin daughters, Erin and Mandy. Denaee and her husband Christopher White brought three grandchildren into Tammy’s arms, Grace, William, and Mary who was born this February.  Tammy was blessed to get to meet and hold their newest bundle of Joy!

Tammy was known for her quiet spirit, generous heart, and devotion to those she loved. Nothing brought her more joy than time spent with her daughters, grandkids and her very close friends and family. She embraced every moment with them. Her love was steady and enduring, and it will live on in the family she so deeply cherished.

She loved being a mother, grandmother, her art, and working in her bountiful garden that produced countless pickles and jars of salsa.

Tammy is survived by her daughters, grandchildren, sister Bonnie, and many good friends. She is preceded in death by her father, mother and her older brother Scotty.

She will be deeply missed by all who knew her and are now left to cherish the many fond memories of her beautiful smile and bright shining eyes.
