Theodore Paul Mazurkiewicz

Theodore Paul “Ted” Mazurkiewicz passed away in the early hours of Saturday, August 8, 2020 in Yorktown, Texas.

He was born September 25, 1940 to Theodore and Pauline (Granowski) Mazurkiewicz in Chapel Hill, Waller County, Texas.

Ted built his career first in retail, being promoted to Store Manager of the W.T. Grant Department Store chain. Ted’s store assignments took him from Houston, to New Orleans, and then to Lake Jackson, Texas. After moving back to Houston in 1968, Ted entered into the mobile home sales and service business with Mobile America. He and his family moved to Bryan, Texas in 1984 where he opened his own dealership, Global Mobile Homes. He retired in 2004 after suffering a stroke and settled into his wife’s hometown of Yorktown, Texas where he lived out his last years.

Left to remember Ted are his wife of 60 years, Edra “Sandy” Mazurkiewicz of Yorktown. Sons Kevin Mazurkiewicz of Victoria and Wesley Mazurkiewicz and wife, Wendy of Angleton. Ted had two grandchildren, Ryan Hughes of San Antonio and Clay Mazurkiewicz of Angleton. He is also survived by “The Chandler Clan” of Yorktown and two sisters, Evelyn Beatty and Angie Martin.

Ted is preceded in death by his parents, Theodore and Pauline Mazurkiewicz; and grandson, Brendan Mazurkiewicz.

Visitation will be at 9:00 am Thursday, August 13, 2020 at Massey Funeral Chapel in Yorktown, Texas. A graveside service will follow at 10:00 am at St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery in Yorktown. Facial coverings must be worn while attending the services and social distancing will be observed.

Pallbearers will be Jeff Chandler, Keith Chandler, Clay Mazurkiewicz, Gray Self, Ricky Ortiz, and Billy Chandler.
