William Barry Veazey Jr. “Bill”, 81, passed away Thursday, Feb. 21, 2019. He was born Aug. 5, 1937 in Fort Worth, Texas to the late Dr. William Veazey and Vera Breeze. He married Carol Buesing on Jul. 26, 1985 in Yorktown, Texas. He graduated from Huntsville High School and attended Sam Houston State University. He served in the U.S. Army and the U.S. Air Force from 1958 to 1964. Bill's many jobs included working as an Aerospace Engineer, owner of Veazey Electronics, bus driver, cross country truck driver, and prison Correction Officer. He led an interesting life, living from the east coast to the west coast.
Preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law Herbert Buesing.
He leaves behind his wife Carol, and sister Linda (George) Pessoney of Hattiesburg, MS., brother-in-law’s Dennis (Janice) Buesing of Alvin and David (Carol) Buesing of Pflugerville. He also leaves behind a daughter Alisa (Danny) Walker of Spicewood, and a son, William (Kym) Veazey III of Kingsland. Stepchildren Ray (Tara) Semper, Jr., of Edgewood, MD., James (Joanne) Semper of Yorktown and Wendy (Joe) Carr of Marion. Grandchildren: Daniel (Colleen) Walker, Will Walker, Sarah Semper, Clay Semper, Emma Semper, James Semper Jr., Jacob Semper and Joseph Carr. Great grandson Trevor Maynard.
Visitation Friday, Mar. 1, 2019 from 5:00-7:00pm at Massey Funeral Home, Yorktown. Private burial.
