Tim and family,
I just got the TLC Torch and saw that Catherine had died. I am so sorry for your loss!!
I only saw Catherine once since I left TLU in 1982, however, thoughts of her always brought a smile to my face. There aren't too many people that haven't heard the stories of our sociology assignments and of our singing walks through water puddles during and after rain!!!! Oh the laughs we had!!!!
Again, I'm sorry for your loss, and may God give you His strength, comfort and peace during this most difficult time!!

I am so very sorry, Tim, to learn of your family's loss. I was one of the supervisors of Catherine's exemplary work while interning at the Round Rock Public Library. She was a gem. I was so very, very pleased when I learned that she became an Assistant Director at the Victoria Public Library without going through the years of upward progression- a testimony to her professionalism and integrity. Again, your church, and the library profession has lost a star too, too soon. With prayers- Dale Ricklefs, Library Director (Retired).

I just wanted to tell you what a inspirational person Catherine was to me. Looking at the photos I was reminded of the way she would throw her head back and laugh with so much joy. Pastor Tim, I received our synod email today regarding word of the death of your wife. Death is about God. That is yours and our good news. God takes away the sting of death. Left on our own we are all lost and doomed. Right now you will always have the cherished memories of Catherine and the good news that God knows your loss and has done the ultimate gift of love to give her eternal life through Christ's own death and resurrection. We grieve with you during this time and give thanks to God for the victory over death that we cannot achieve on our own. May God comfort you.

Charles & I extend our heartfelt sympathy to each of you. It's immensely challenging to say "so long" to the love of your life, your soulmate & best friend, the mother of your children. We cherish her spontaneous and contagious smile and warm personality. What a beautiful photo on the post. Her middle name MARIE has been a tradition in my family & passed down thru generations. Our prayers are with as you travel in this valley...knowing God and your many friends are with you. I recall a couple of hymns...."Healer of my every ill" as well as JC's "Spirit of the Lord". There's someone who will stay with you...In everything hyou say and do ...To help you out and see you through...the Spirit of the Lord. Be brave, don't fear and you can surely say...The Spirit is beside me every day. Regretfully, I have a wedding rehearsal at 6pm Thurs followed by a PISD board meeting(I'm presiding president).

As I watched the beautiful memorial video, so many memories flooded my mind and my heart was full of great joy and sorrow at the same time. She and I spent a lot of time together during our high school years, now treasured memories. From double dating to crying together the night we found out Elvis died, we did oodles of things together.
