Marsha,
David will be missed. His quick sense of humor, his brevity in what he said that was always right on target, and his deep love for his family, especially you, was a witness to me that God made David and claimed him "very good." May you and your family know the peace that surpasses all human understanding.
Believing with you,
Vanessa Potter

Dave, as I knew him, was my General Foreman at STP back in 1985. He was a good man, friend, and mentor to me. He had a wicked sense of humor. Rest in peace, and my sympathy to his family.

My Unc

When they told me he was sick,
I thought they were mistaken,
How can a man built of concrete,
From this world be taken?

Then came the pain,
Unbearable for me to see,
Now lay a wounded animal,
Where once was tall oak tree,

I visited as often as I could,
But it never seemed enough,
My heart was heavy to see him that way,
Its was getting kind of tough,

Then dad called, and said he was gone,
That there was nothing we could do,
But I can't help wonder, deep down,
Is that actually true?

So now the world is less brighter,
And funeral bells are ringing,
and even though I don't believe,
For you uncle David... I'll be right there, singing.

Bye Unc, I hope you left this world proud of me.
