Mrs. Enke & Linda, We are so sorry for your loss. Ms. Joyce will always be remembered as a wonderful woman. Our son, George, called her fries, (hairy fries), because of the batter. Will always remember that.

Mrs Borgfeld shared her room and the dining table with my mother at the Yorktown Nursing & Rehab Center. She always smiled when I walked in, and would tell me about my mother's latest happenings. She watched over mother and would call the nurses when mother tried to get out of bed by herself. The 'mother instinct' in her never left!
My sincerest sympathies to the Borgfeld family. Your mother was a very special person.

My thoughts and prayers go out to all you boys and your families. Joyce was part of my early life as well as you! I do thank God for those wonderful days and the great times we all had. And yes, everyone loved her fried chicken and yummy onion rings! God bless and keep each of you, Jamie

My condolences to the Borgfeld family. Mrs. Borgfeld and my mom, Edith Krenek were room mates and table mates at Yorktown Nursing and Rehab. She was a very sweet lady and I always enjoyed visiting with her. I always enjoyed her stories about the Café! She will be missed!

For such a humble, hardworking and giving soul, she probably never knew just how many folks from all over were treated by her bounty. She never failed to remember us no matter how far away we traveled, and we never failed to bring our far-away friends to Weesatche for the enjoyment of her fired chicken, enchiladas and fries all wrapped up around the unique Weesatche Cafe. Seriously, if you could ask my husband his favorite place to eat ever, he would say the Weesatche Cafe!

Condolences to her precious family. Rest in peace, Mrs. Borgfield. You will always be remembered.
