Ramon Alvarez, 62, of Yorktown passed away Mon. July 10, 2017. He was born Dec. 23, 1954 in Yorktown, Texas to Frances Torres Alvarez and the late Toribio Alvarez. He enjoyed driving a truck and retired doing what he loved.
He is survived by his wife Gloria Alvarez, son Toribio (Debbie) Alvarez and daughters Audrey and Christie Alvarez all of Yorktown. Also by mother Frances Alvarez, sisters Diana Gonzales, Claudina Alvarez and brothers Ascension “Chon” Alvarez and Israel Alvarez and seven grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his father Toribio Alvarez.
Pallbearers are Kimberly Alvarez, Gloria Morehead, Kevin Morehead, Brandon Morehead, Matthew Ortiz and Brice Baros. Honorary pallbearers Kae Lee Mitchel, Joshua Lopez and Toribio Lopez.
Visitation 5-7 pm Thursday July 13, 2017 with a Rosary at 7 pm at Massey Funeral Home. Funeral Mass 11 am Friday July 14, 2017 at San Luis Catholic Church. Interment to follow at Yorktown Community Cemetery.
